New York (CNN Business) CNN’s Anderson Cooper is the proud father of a newborn boy. Wyatt Morgan Cooper was born on Monday weighing 7 pounds 2 ounces.
Cooper, 52, shared photos of Wyatt at the end of the television show’s weekly coronavirus pandemic.
“It has been a difficult time all our lives, and certainly many difficult days,” Cooper said. “It is, in my opinion, especially important in these difficult times to try to capture moments of joy and moments of happiness. Although we regret the loss of loved ones, we too are blessed with new life. and new love. ”
That’s how he introduced his own happy news: “On Monday, I became a father,” he said. “I’ve never said that before, it’s loud, and it still surprises me. I’m a dad. I have a son. And I want you to meet him.”

Cooper’s father, who died when he was 10, was named Wyatt. Now Cooper is passing the name on to a new generation. “I hope I can be a good father like him,” he said during the announcement.
The middle name of her son Morgan, is a name from the family tree of her mother, Gloria Vanderbilt. He died last year.
